We offer a variety of ministries for the children and youth of our parish. To learn more or become involved in these ministries, please contact Joe Gasbarre, our Parish Catechist.
The Nursery is staffed on Sunday for the 4 p.m. service only at this time. The nursery is equipped to care for infants and children up to four years old.
We desire for children to know and embrace that God is their Creator and that He loves them greatly. In order to teach this and many other Bible truths, we offer Children’s Sunday School each week. Gospel Play is an imaginative approach to teaching our children how to live lives of worship. It supports, challenges, nourishes and guides children into God’s larger redemptive story within liturgical life together. In every Gospel Play session we are spiritually directing children to encounter Jesus Christ and the power of the Gospel. Bring your children into God’s great story of salvation in Gospel Play.
Little Church – Currently suspended due to Covid.
During the middle of our 10:30 a.m. service, children (4 years-3rd grade) have their own Gospel reading, homily (mini-sermon) and liturgical worship. Little Church is meant to form our children in our liturgical way of worship. We sing together, hear the Scriptures, profess the Apostle’s Creed, pray for each other, confess our sins to each other, and exchange the peace of the Lord. We typically close Little Church with illustrative coloring sheets that communicate Scripture through art. The children return to the service to join their families for Communion. Younger children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We intend to be a Covenantal ministry, focused not only on the youth (6th-12th grades) but also on their families. We desire to strengthen and build up their nuclear family, as the family was one of the first institutions established by God. Additionally, we recognize that our youth are an integral part of the church body and its development and trajectory. As we interact with, serve, and pray for our youth, may our hearts’ prayer be that of the psalmist in Psalm 78: “… tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power, and the wonders that He has done… and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.” This is our calling as a church. The Youth Group meets during the school year on Wednesdays to strengthen their relationships and faith through fellowship, meals, games, prayer, service, and worship.
Our Music Ministry is comprised of five choral and instrumental ensembles for participants 1st grade through adult. The ensembles’ primary service is to lead music in our corporate worship while offering their musical talents to the Lord.
