Ladies of Savannah!

Are you in need of a life-giving weekend? Eager for time to soak in God’s word and be reminded of His promises? Hungry for some deep bible teaching and fellowship with women from around the city? If the answer is yes, keep reading!

This March the women of CCA will be pairing up with other churches in the city to host a City-Wide Women’s Retreat. Our speakers will be joining us all the way from Northern Ireland. Our beloved favorite bible teacher Maureen Ross Jones will be with us again and this time, will be sharing the podium with Denise Wilson who also visited and spoke at our last retreat. These are wonderful seasoned and passionate bible teachers, who really bring scripture to life.

If you have joined us before, you know you that there will be much laughing, crying, singing, praying, eating, drinking, and learning of new Irish phrase.

Dates: March 17-19. 2023

Venue: Point Pleasant Retreat Grounds, 441 Suncrest Blvd, Savannah, GA 31410

Cost: $100 per person (includes a robust program, all meals and snacks)

Please note that this is not an overnight venue.  Visitors from out of town will need to locate accommodation.  

Maureen is a teaching elder in her local church and she has a weekly Bible Study for women who come to be encouraged in the Word and prayed for. She also speaks extensively in churches and conferences both locally and globally. She is passionate about the power of God to change lives through the Word, prayer ministry and the prophetic. Maureen has loved and studied the bible all her life but she would say her greatest equipping for the ministry has come through the pain of divorce and subsequent loss of overseas ministry when she experienced healing and wholeness in miraculous ways, through fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit, and fresh revelation of God’s Word & His love for her. Maureen lives with her Son William who is now 34 years old and they, along with William’s carer Jayne, are all actively involved in Emmanuel Church, Lurgan, Northern Ireland.

Denise is Community Pastor of Christ Church Primacy, a Church Rejuvenation project, in the seaside town of Bangor, Northern Ireland. She is the wife of Rory Wilson, a doctor also from Northern Ireland. They married in Uganda where their son Gideon was also born. They served as missionaries in Kiwoko Hospital for ten productive years. Denise has a passion for discipleship and helping people develop and exercise their spiritual gifts. She enjoys jogging and family adventures!

Megan Spinks is a Georgia native who has called Savannah home for the last 12 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Music Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. One of her greatest joys is shepherding women through music and teaching to be satisfied in Jesus, the power of His Word, and His redeeming Work. Megan also has the privilege of being a homeschooling mom to Titus, Eiley Beth,and Jovie. Therefore, on any given day you can find her playing at the park, cheerleading at all things ball and ballet, and drinking lots, and lots of coffee.
