Steve was born in Columbia, MS, raised in Augusta, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has been in non-profit administration throughout his career with the Boy Scouts of America; Foundation For The Family; Wesley Community Centers; The Savannah Theatre; and Communities In Schools. Steve is currently serving as the Executive Director of CCA’s domestic outreach – The Whitefield Center.

A life-long Anglican, Steve has served Christ Church in every lay capacity, except Altar and Flower Guilds, and was ordained a deacon in 2013. The Whitefield Center was incorporated that same year for the purpose of “Transforming the Heart of the City One Life at a Time”. This is done through various Christian education endeavors in the surrounding area of Christ Church Anglican – the Thomas Square neighborhood.

Steve has one adult daughter, Laura, who serves the Lord as an RN, and is married to Danny, a full-time Hospice Chaplain.
