Craig Stephans grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. After earning a soccer scholarship to The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, he earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature in 1991 and a master’s degree in Counseling in 1994. Craig and his wife Missy were married in 1991 and lived in Charleston, SC for several years prior to attending Trinity School of Ministry outside Pittsburgh where Craig earned a Master of Divinity in 2009.

In 2010, Craig accepted the position of Rector of Church of the Redeemer in Camden, NC. He served at Church of the Redeemer for 11 years and earned a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2019. In December 2020, Craig became Rector of Christ Church Anglican in Savannah following in the footsteps of the Rev. Dr. Marc Robertson who served as Rector for 29 years.

Craig is the author of three books including To Be Silent: The Too Busy Church published in 2019 by Anglican House Publishers. Craig and his wife Missy have a daughter Madeline and a son Jack, and a yellow lab named Colby and a golden retriever named Leo. In addition to ministry and being with his family, Craig loves being outdoors walking, running, cycling and still trying to play soccer and golf.
