Holly Vandegrift was born in North Canton, Ohio and raised in Salem, Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree from Longwood College, majoring in German and studying abroad in Austria and Germany while pursuing her degree.
She was in banking both in Salem and Charlotte, North Carolina as a Regional Manager before moving with her husband, Ron, to Savannah in 2005. Utilizing her banking experience, she worked for a local company for 11 years as an Administrative Manager until taking a well-deserved break in 2021.
Raised Episcopalian, she and Ron found a new home at Christ Church Anglican in 2022 and have been extremely happy with the transition! They have one son, A.J., who is a Captain in the Marine Corps Special Op’s. He is newly married to his wife, Stephanie, who is also a Captain in the Marine Corps. Along with her dog Luna and grand-dog, Sirius, Holly enjoys baking all sorts of goodies and keeping her gnome army in check by assisting with the upkeep of landscaping in her yard.
