Artist-In-Residence 2025
Meredith Hoffheins
Meredith Hoffheins is a painter based in Savannah, GA. She is a MFA graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Her recent show For Nothing to Grow Wild is a collection of paintings completed throughout the last nine years. Her paintings depict memories of places she’s lived or visited through an imaginative, sometimes uncanny lens. They are landscapes tamed by unknown hands.
Meredith recently completed an intermediate/advanced Iconography workshop at the Liturgical Arts Academy at the Diakonia Retreat Center in Salem, SC. She is currently busy working on paintings for our worship spaces at Christ Church Anglican.
Artist-In-Residence 2024
Allison Hall
Allison Hall is an artist based in Savannah, Georgia who primarily uses gouache to paint florals, landscapes, and still lifes. Originally from Dallas, Texas she constantly draws inspiration from the vast landscapes of her home state. Allison has a BFA in Illustration from SCAD, and still is enamored by the lush plant life of the lowcountry. She’s currently having lots of fun running Dreamhouse Studios, a studio space she founded with her friends in Savannah’s Starland District.
Allison has been at CCA for 2 years and loves how the church values beauty, contemplation, and creativity. She’s so excited to paint the spaces downstairs and hopes that the church body can feel a little bit more wonder and joy as they pass through the halls, change diapers, or pick up kiddos. Also, she feels so honored to provide art for these little ones to grow up around! Allison is looking forward to the challenge of making these murals as intentional as possible, and spending time at the church during her work hours.
Allison is currently hosting the Creative Vocation Cohort with Valerie Hanks and is the art teacher for Urban Hope summer camp at the Whitefield Center.
