Ordination to the Diaconate: Ralph Roberts

In the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), Ordination to the Diaconate is a sacramental rite where a bishop, through prayer and the laying on of hands, sets apart an individual for a lifelong vocation of servant ministry. Grounded in the biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3, deacons are called to be a threshold ministers, interpreting the needs of the world to the church. Deacons are “living icons” of Christ’s servanthood, focusing specifically on ministering to the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. 

Christ Church Anglican invites you to the Ordination to the Diaconate of Ralph Roberts. The service will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 6 p.m. when The Right Reverend Alex Farmer. Bishop of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese will perform the ordination. 

All are invited to attend. Reception to follow in Hebron Hall. Nursery will be available 5:30 – 8 PM for infants through 3 years.
