Midweek Eucharist

Advent is a time of preparation for meeting the Lord; it takes special focus for us not to get caught up in the worldly pace and distractions of the holidays and miss the Christian purpose of Advent. Participating in our Advent Mid-week Eucharist services on Wednesdays December 6, 13  and 20 at noon offer opportunities to stop, worship, pray and commune with the Lord during this season. Almighty God, you have given your only-begotten Son to take our nature upon him, and to be born [this day] of a pure virgin: Grant that we, who have been born again and made your children by adoption and grace, may daily be renewed by your Holy Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with you and the same Spirit be honor and glory, now and for ever.  Amen.

MISSION

Let’s rescue Christmas from consumer frenzy and make it about the birth of Jesus, God with us! Help take Christmas back for Jesus by reducing our holiday expenses by 10% and giving those savings as a gift for Jesus on His birthday.

Christmas 4 All is a way to gift the least of us.

Jerry Kramer with Love For the Least, reports that this year Love for the Least will provide Christmas joy with food, celebrations and small gifts for 1,500 orphans in East Africa, Christmas food baskets for as many refugee families as possible, and to two special projects they are building: school classrooms at Samaritan Village Orphanage in Tanzania and for the nomad Pokot children in remote Kenya.

They will also have an annual giant Christmas celebration with Syrian Muslim refugee orphans and handicapped children in the Refugee camp in Northern Syria. In addition, they are adding a Christmas parade. This was the idea of the Muslim charity director! It’s going to be about Jesus.

You can also make gifts in honor of family, loved ones, and friends. Gift forms are available on their website, or you may make a donation through CCA by listing Christmas 4 All in the memo line. Donations through CCA must be made prior to December 31, 2023. All gifts to Love for The Least are fully tax deductible.

So please mark your calendars and join in making Christmas for all!
