Mission & Service
The Whitefield Foundation was founded in October 2013 by a group of Christ Church Anglican (CCA) businessmen and other community leaders who have a strong interest in the renewal of the Thomas Square area, which is the “Heart of the City” and the new home for CCA. Thomas Square has a wonderful heritage and diversity, but like the Landmark Historic District of 60 years ago, is in need of renewal physically and spiritually. The Whitefield Foundation was formed after an in-depth study of the area’s needs as well as interviews with our key outreach partners who have been focused on improving health and fighting poverty in the neighborhood for many years.
Our Mission is to have a significant impact on lives in the Thomas Square area through a focused and measured approach to putting the key education building blocks in place for a fulfilled and productive life. This will be accomplished through:
“Transforming the Heart of the City One Life at a Time”
